For 30 years, “The Sphere” stood in the plaza of the World Trade Center until the plight of the unforgettable terrorist attacks. It now stands in Battery Park (near the Staten Island Ferry station) with an eternal flame as a memorial to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
